Guusje sources and develops ventures in green chemistry and energy. With a PhD in chemistry, she brings a combination of technical expertise and start-up experience after leading the R&D departments at Amsterdam greentech start-ups Skytree and Ore Energy.

Reinier leads the biobased and circular materials sectors, which includes IP-sourcing, venture creation / support and expanding our expertise and networks. He gained experience in business development, impact investment and financing of start-ups with among others Polestar Capital and RebelGroup.

Roos is part of the Venture Finance team, supporting startups throughout the funding process and preparing for growth. Joost is responsible for fundraising and sourcing of new technology, with over 20 years of entrepreneurial experience, a background in Cleantech, Real estate and M&A at a.o. Schroders Capital and Kempen, 14 years of board level experience, privately investing in tech startups, board advisor to a.o. accelerator FemTechLab and AtomicOne.

Jarno is responsible for the finance and legal infrastructure and will contribute to the venture financing activities. He has gained deep financial experience as auditor with EY (being a Dutch CPA/RA), as financial/management at impact start-ups and as impact investor (a.o. CarbonFix).

Venture Development Intern
Roger is a Venture Development Intern at BigCircle Ventures and a Master’s student in Sustainable Energy Technology at TU Delft. With experience as a consultant for Sustainable Student Consultancy and as working student at Coolset, he’s eager to contribute to climate technology, using his complex problem-solving skills to drive positive change.

Joost leads the development of team, model and network. Joost built up NLC, Europe’s largest healthtech venture builder, as its COO. Prior to that, Joost provided board level consulting for 20 years, among others as managing partner of healthcare specialist Plexus (later KPMG Plexus, after the acquisition he negotiated).

Advisor
Eelco supports the team with deep tech IP scouting by strengthening the network with relevant stakeholders at universities, technology institutes and corporates. Eelco first gained experience with corporate venturing at Royal DSM, and has since worked with multiple promising start ups in clean energy and chemicals from around the world.

Talent Acquisition
Simon is responsible for recruitment, attracting exceptional individuals for BigCircle’s internal team and for the ventures. He has over 20 years of experience recruiting for businesses throughout Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific and the United States, which included working on-site for both start-ups and large blue-chip organisations.
