Guusje sources and develops ventures in green chemistry and energy. With a PhD in chemistry, she brings a combination of technical expertise and start-up experience after leading the R&D departments at Amsterdam greentech start-ups Skytree and Ore Energy.

Reinier leads the biobased and circular materials sectors, which includes IP-sourcing, venture creation / support and expanding our expertise and networks. He gained experience in business development, impact investment and financing of start-ups with among others Polestar Capital and RebelGroup.

Roos is part of the Venture Finance team, supporting startups throughout the funding process and preparing for growth. Laurie leads the legal function at BigCircle. She is an attorney with broad experience in international commercial law. Prior to joining BigCircle, she advised corporations on some of the world’s largest transactions with Freshfields; and foreign governments on investment policy with the U.S. Department of Commerce.

As part of the Venture Development team, Siem builds relationships with universities and researchers to identify promising inventions and evaluates the climate impact and investability of innovative technologies. With a background in energy, Siem is passionate about driving sustainable energy solutions and supporting ventures that make a positive climate impact.

Alicia leads our Venture Finance efforts, developing scalable business models and guiding startups through fundraising and growth. Alicia began her career in M&A at Deutsche Bank, and later advised sustainable scale-ups in clean energy and circularity on capital raising at Sustainable Capital Group.

Venture Development
Sami sources and develops ventures in energy and climate tech. With a background in engineering physics and electrical engineering, he combines technical expertise with hands-on experience building and scaling startups, from market validation and fundraising to product development and team building.

Joost leads the development of team, model and network. Joost built up NLC, Europe’s largest healthtech venture builder, as its COO. Prior to that, Joost provided board level consulting for 20 years, among others as managing partner of healthcare specialist Plexus (later KPMG Plexus, after the acquisition he negotiated).
